Chargers & Hotel Wedding

Are chargers typically standard when working with a hotel for a wedding?  My hotel does not seem to provide them and was wondering whether other brides are experiencing the same?

I wouldn't consider what my hotel is using a charger... but there is a plate preset on the table that will be taken away when the salad course is being cleared.

My hotel also had a presentation plate. I rented chargers on my own since I liked that look better.

I know that the Ritz Boston offered to include chargers in their place setting when I had a site visit last month.  The other Boston hotels that I visited offered them as an "upgrade" for $3-$5 per person.

An alternative option might be to order round beaded placemats online which are much cheaper and can be resold to another bride (I'm currently considering that plan myself).

The good thing is that decorators from Toronto take into consideration the holistic impact of wedding venues and receptions because they regard the importance of the celebratory aura in wedding receptions.
